BOURNS SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING DAY EXPANDS STEM OUTREACH ACROSS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Hosted by the college's Society of Women Engineers (SWE), this event has become the largest STEM event in the Riverside County, engaging more than 1,200 students to participate in hands-on engineering activities. Electrical engineering alumna Sirina Nabhan, '17, a project data systems engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, was a guest speaker in this year's first virtually held event that reached more schools than ever.
CAMPUS' FIRST ENDOWMENT FOR A STUDENT ORGANIZATION IN SUPPORT OF BLACK ENGINEERS
In partnership with the National Society of Black Engineers and the Council for the Advancement of Black Engineers, we launched the campus' first endowed fund in support of a student organization, which will provide scholarship and professional development opportunities for Black engineering students in perpetuity.
